First Post

So I admit that this is all new to me. I have decided to try my hand at blogging and see where it takes me.

We are enjoying having my mother here with us for a month visit. She is 88 and we have not had much time together since most of my adult life I have lived 1000 or more miles from my birthplace. Although we have had a wonderful life, and I wouldn't trade any of it, I am so glad God is allowing us this time to be near family.

Wow! Today is a beautiful day - sunny and in the low 70's. Amazing for November! Pete spent the morning repairing the fence out in the yard. We have our patio door open and grilled hotdogs on the grill for lunch. Sun tea brewing on the patio table, football on the tv, and the last roses of summer on the dining room table. What could be better?
